As you can imagine since George (ENT) and myself (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon) are the only guys in Iraq that do facial trauma, there are some weeks that we have one case and there are others that we have an uptick in tempo. This week we did 5 trauma cases and 1 Secondary Facial Reconstruction of a previously injured Iraqi Policeman. To reconstruct his face we harvested some bone from his anterior hip and plated it to his missing left cheek. If you can't recognize me with all my PPE on, I am the one on the right with the light on my head.I was still able to manage to get all but one of my workouts in!!!!!
